Empowering Healing
Where does it all lead? What will become of us?...It leads to each other. We become ourselves."- Patti Smith
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in the Austin-metro area of Texas specializing in supporting clients through life transitions, identity formation, and relationships. A life-long observer of people, I have always been curious our internal worlds.
My path to counseling was a bit circuitous, with a stop-off in academia where I explored my passion for music and culture, earning a Masters in Ethnomusicology from the University of Washington. I then spent several years working at the University of Notre Dame.
After my mother's death, I experienced the transformative power of therapy and decided to return to school for a Masters in Education in Counseling at Indiana University. It was there that I discovered one of my life's purposes, one of my "whys." It felt like everything in my life had been leading me to this profession. It was a returning to myself, a returning home.

I began my counseling career at an interpersonal violence shelter, working with survivors of intimate partner violence who struggled with substance use. I then joined a private practice where I worked with individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, bipolar, depression, and grief, as well as those seeking support for identity formation, LGBTQ+, parenting, and life transitions.
I spent the last several years working with college students, faculty, and staff at the University of Notre Dame where I also ran grief and caregiving groups, taught wellness, emotional regulation, and coping strategies. In 2022, my family and I moved to Texas where I opened up a private practice in downtown Round Rock.
I believe that the most vulnerable, confusing, and painful periods of our lives are the seeds for healing, creativity, and connection. My approach is strengths-based and trauma-informed, empowering clients to discover their resiliency and motivation for positive change.
I have specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Parenting, QPR Suicide Prevention, and Values-Based Leadership. My work with couples is highly-influenced by the Gottman Method, Imago Relationship Therapy and the work of Esther Perel. I also enjoy using Music Therapy techniques in my practice.

I am married and a mother of two kids. In my free time, I enjoy doing yoga, going on adventures with my family, playing music, and exploring Austin's endless taco scene.
